Jesse Matthews
Associate Hand therapist
I am a big believer that knowledge is power, especially when it comes to managing injury and recovery. I ensure my patients feel empowered with information and skill around rehabilitation and self-management, so they can get back to doing the things they love.
As a competitive sportsperson, I’ve had my own fair share of past injuries - and I know the importance of getting back to what drives you. Which means I’m especially interested in helping social, competitive, representative and professional athletes safely return to their sport as soon as possible. Having been on the other side of the table myself, I know the difference that attentive, inquisitive and caring service makes to staying focused on recovery.
I have a Bachelor in Health Science and am a trained Occupational Performance Coach. Prior to focusing on hand therapy, I worked in pediatrics for four years. While sports is my passion, I know that for some patients, simply being able to live independently, free from pain, is what matters to them, and I’m here to support anyone who wants to regain function and ease in their daily tasks and work.
